  Salsa Festival\, continues its run with sounds from Houston-based band Cr
 o-Cro Y Su Tumbaká. Now in its 12 th year at Addison’s Vitruvian Park\, th
 e Vitruvian Salsa Festival honors both culture and community with iconic d
 ance parties designed to get everyone on the dance floor. \nThe event runs
  from 6 to 10 p.m. with professional salsa lessons from 6:30 to 7 p.m. and
  Latin DJ Ruben Reyes spinning tracks. At 7 p.m.\, Cro-Cro Y Su Tumbaká ta
 kes the stage. Food trucks and vendors surround Vitruvian Park’s amphithea
 ter for each performance. \nCro-Cro Y Su Tumbaká was formed more than a de
 cade ago by Jorge “Cro-Cro” Orta with the ambition to do something differe
 nt in the salsa genre. The multicultural band interprets tropical music st
 yles of famous groups and singers of the ’70s\, ’80s and ’90s. The band pe
 rforms songs with echoes of Latin-jazz\, percussion solos\, batá\, son\, g
 üarachas and opera-salsa\, bringing a wealth of sounds and musical colors.
