As 250 vibrant 34” and 46” tall origami stars continue to adorn the space above Galleria Dallas’ iconic ice skating rink, the shopping center is highlighting Paper for Water, the nonprofit behind the art with special events on Saturday, July 12.
A Day with Paper for Water will be an afternoon of interactive activities and unique opportunities to donate to the organization’s mission. Paper For Water raises money to fund water and sanitation projects worldwide, creating opportunities for better health, education and brighter futures. Additionally, Paper for Water raises awareness of the world water crisis through educational programming and community engagement.
Starting at 11 a.m., shoppers are invited to grab lunch at Five Guys Burgers and Fries as 20% of each order will be donated to support Paper for Water. Five Guys is conveniently located right next to the ice rink, making it easy to give back before or after taking a spin on the ice.
From 2 – 3:30 p.m., learn all about the art of origami folding through simple lessons taught by Paper for Water’s team. This hands-on activity is perfect for beginners and will take place on Rink Level near Paciugo.
