North Texas’ most popular Latin music festival, the Vitruvian Salsa Festival, will hold its final event of the 2025 season with sounds from nationally renowned salsa band Yamilka G y su Orquesta. Now in its 11^th year at Addison’s Vitruvian Park, the Vitruvian Salsa Festival celebrates both culture and community with monthly dance parties designed to get everyone from beginners to seasoned pros on the dance floor.

The festival runs from 6 to 10 p.m. with professional salsa lessons from 6:30 to 7 p.m. and Latin DJ Ruben Reyes spinning tracks. Food trucks and vendors surround Vitruvian Park’s amphitheater for each performance.

Founded by Yamilka Gutierrez, Yamilka G y su Orquesta is based in Houston but performs extensively across Texas, Miami, New York and Yamilka’s native Dominican Republic. A master of various musical styles, the band captivates audiences while playing salsa, merengue, bachata, cumbia and ballads.
