We're Back!!
Come celebrate New Year’s Eve with another Harry Hunsacker adventure, MacMurder! by Kurt Kleinmann, presented on the Terry Martin Stage at the Addison Performing Arts Centre. Or bring your family and holiday guests to one of our performances from December 19, 2025 through January 4, 2026! There will be a public Sneak Preview on December 18!
MacMurder! is the latest in the series of comedy murder-mysteries by Pegasus Theatre founder Kurt Kleinmann, produced in our unique Living Black & White® style. These productions recreate the look and feel of classic black-and-white films through a unique combination of makeup, costumes, lighting, and set design—an experience both visual and theatrical, presented in Living Black & White® by the company that created the process.
Manuel Mendoza, writing for the Dallas Morning News, identifies it as a “seamless visual miracle…This artistic/technological achievement syncs beautifully with the company’s era-appropriate material: comedic murder mysteries written by artistic director Kurt Kleinmann featuring the inept detective Harry Hunsacker and his assistant Nigel Grouse."
This presentation of MacMurder! will be slightly different from the one we premiered at AT&T PAC in September of 2025 as a part of the Elevator Series at the Wyly Theatre in the Arts District. We are immensely grateful to the Elevator Project for the opportunity! Now we've made some changes that we're quite proud of!
The story features the beloved recurring characters: Harry Hunsacker and Nigel Grouse, with a new twist involving Scottish nobles, a mysterious castle, and (of course) murder! Directed by Becki McDonald, it finds Hunsacker and Grouse in the Scottish Highlands trying to solve an absurd number of killings (431). Harry himself could be next. It looks like someone is gonna get kilt!
