With names like Mind Digging Moles, Toxic6, Hashtag Happening and Bright Bison, Destination Imagination (DI) teams are bound for state. Twenty one DI teams are heading to the Texas Destination Imagination Affiliate Tournament April 11-12, to compete for a chance to advance to the Global Finals competition at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville.

The teams will showcase projects they have developed to highlight their creative and innovative approaches to problem solving.

Destination Imagination is a fun way to teach students to think and work collaboratively to solve challenges by using science, technology, engineering and math, as well as the arts and service learning.

At the beginning of each DI season, teams choose one of seven challenges, and spend several weeks creating, developing and practicing their solutions before showcasing their project at a local tournament. Ultimately, the top teams advance to state and, hopefully, to the global competition, which is touted as the world's largest celebration of creativity.

·         Kidz Ink, Rosemont Elementary School

·         Hashtag Happening, Rosemont Elementary School

·         The Breakfast Club, School for the Talented and Gifted at Yvonne A. Ewell Townview Center

·         The DItzy, School for the Talented and Gifted at Townview
