Last month,
Trinity Christian Academy's
(TCA) sixth grade students celebrated National Poetry Month by writing verses of their own. The students joined the "Tell Me More" poetry contest, sponsored by National Public Radio, on Twitter as a way to integrate their poetry unit with social media.
After the first day, student Zoe Bator already had her
poem
favorited and retweeted by
the
contest’s official Twitter account. To participate, students simply tweeted poems of 140 characters or less along with the hashtag “#TMMPoetry.”
