Grand opening festivities set for May 11
Don’t panic if you drive by the Snuffer’s Restaurant & Bar on Midway Road in Addison next week and see that it’s closed down.
Just head a couple blocks north and west to 4180 Belt Line Road, and you’ll find a brand new Snuffer’s location ready to satisfy your craving for their famous Cheddar Fries, legendary burgers and salads, along with your favorite cold brews and cocktails. The newly relocated Snuffer’s Restaurant & Bar shares the real estate site with another Firebird Restaurant Group concept, Taqueria La Ventana. The two concepts will open in tandem under one roof the beginning of next week.
To celebrate the big move, Snuffer’s is hosting a grand opening celebration on Monday, May 11, including an official ribbon cutting with the Addison Chamber of Commerce and local dignitaries beginning at 10 a.m. To add to the excitement, the first 100 guests to visit the Belt Line restaurant when it opens to the public at 11 a.m. will receive free Snuffer’s swag!
“Snuffer’s had 26 great years and some amazing memories on Midway, but it was time to move into a nicer space in a better location,” said Darius Gilanfar, Chief Operating Officer. “The new restaurant looks awesome, and we’re right in the heart of ‘restaurant row’ in Addison.”
Over the weekend prior to Monday’s opening, Snuffer’s will be hosting three VIP events to help train the staff while raising donations for the TeamConnor Childhood Cancer Foundation, a Dallas-based charity dedicated to building awareness and raising funds for research to help find cures for pediatric cancers. The organization is named after Connor Cruse, an “inspirational little boy with a warrior’s heart” who lost his battle with cancer on July 10, 2009.
“We’re very proud to use our grand opening training events as a platform to raise funds and awareness for the fight against childhood cancer,” said Gilanfar. “We didn’t have the privilege of knowing Connor, but we have heard all about his heroic battle and his incredible faith. TeamConnor is an outstanding organization and we hope to make a sizeable contribution through this weekend’s events in Connor’s memory.”
Snuffer’s and Taqueria La Ventana on Belt Line Road will be open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., Sunday through Thursday, and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., Friday and Saturday.
