Belk Galleria Dallas celebrated the arrival of the BelkGives on the Go Mobile Mammography Center with a special event hosted by Pat Smith and Treasure You. Through its Mobile Mammography Center, Belk aims to create more awareness about the importance of breast cancer screenings and early detection. Since 2013, the Belk Mobile Mammography Center has screened more than 8,000 women and has made 39 detections. The center provided Dallas women with free mammograms and education on breast cancer screenings.

To help raise awareness for the Belk Mobile Mammography Center, Pat Smith and WFAA-TV hosted a contest for women impacted by breast cancer to receive a special Treasure You experience. Pat selected four women to receive a one-night stay at the Westin Galleria Dallas, a private brunch at Belk Galleria Dallas, $100 Belk gift card, $200 Galleria Dallas gift card, an afternoon of pampering at Toni & Guy, meals at Grand Luxe Café and The Grill on the Alley, as well as Treasure You jewelry, inspired by Pat Smith.

The private brunch took place at Belk Galleria Dallas, where the four women were honored and shared their inspiring stories. During the event, Pat Smith shared her personal story on how she was impacted by breast cancer. At the age of 22, Pat lost her mother to the disease. She formed her non-profit Treasure You to recognize and minister to women impacted by tragedies.

The Belk Mobile Mammography Center goes to Rockwall on Friday, June 5. The Belk Mobile Mammography Center will return to Dallas in the fall. Go to Belk.com/Pink for information on how to sign up for a free screening.
