Will Zalatoris, a member of Trinity Christian Academy’s (TCA) graduating class of 2014, recently won the 105th Texas Amateur Golf Championship at Brook Hollow Country Club in Dallas. This accomplishment is something that neither of his hometown contemporaries Jordan Spieth, a current PGA Tour member, nor Scottie Scheffler, the most recent U.S. Junior Amateur champion, have achieved.

The recipient of the esteemed Arnold Palmer Scholarship and incoming freshman at Wake Forest University held off Austin's Stratton Nolen with a bogey-free final nine holes, finishing at 10-under par for a three-shot victory over Nolen, who posted 7-under 277.

In addition to winning the H.L. Edwards Memorial trophy at this year’s tournament, Zalatoris also lead TCA’s boys golf team to their second consecutive TAPPS 5A state title in May.
