Food Industry Veteran to Provide Business Development and Strategic Leadership for the Firm’s Growing Portfolio of Food and Beverage Assignments

Will Hodges, president of Cadence McShane Construction Company, is pleased to announce Patrick L. McConnell joined the firm as Business Development Manager - Food and Beverage, providing strategic leadership and pre-construction expertise for the firm’s growing food and beverage opportunities. McConnell offices at Cadence McShane’s headquarters in Addison, overseeing the pursuit and implementation of food and beverage projects on a local, regional and national basis.   

McConnell is a highly-respected food and beverage industry veteran with nearly 30 years of experience in roles with Golden State Foods and PepsiCo Food Systems and as a third-party consultant at GoldCold Concepts. Throughout his career, he gained considerable insights and perfected his expertise on various expectations and requirements of profitable food and beverage operations including sustainable and LEED-Certified facility design and construction, workflow automation and optimization and advanced equipment and warehousing solutions.

As principal consultant at GoldCold Concepts, McConnell provided third-party consulting services to manufacturing and distribution companies seeking unique solutions to efficiency optimizations and cost saving initiatives.  As senior director of Operations Development for Golden State Foods, one of the largest diversified food service suppliers in the country, he identified and implemented efficiency solutions across 19 facilities to better support productivity, warehouse procedures, transportation systems, safety and service to a substantial client base that included McDonald’s, Starbucks and Chick-fil-A.
