The Teach For America DFW PTA (Partners of Teachers and Alumni) is partnering with the Perot Museum and Texas Instruments to help local families kick-off Winter Break in a safe, creative and delicious way. From Nov. 30 until Dec. 14, children in grades K-12 can create and enter their own creative, edible holiday homes to win various prizes.

Then, on Thursday, Dec. 17 at 6 p.m., join the Teach For America DFW PTA for the virtual Home For The Holidays: Holiday House Engineering Contest event, where Stephanie Leichtle-Chalklen of Oak Cliff-based Kuluntu Bakery will teach families how to make her famous hot chocolate, and the judges will announce the winners live of the Home For The Holidays Contest.

When: Contest open Nov. 30-Dec. 14; Free virtual Home For The Holidays event on Thurs, Dec. 16 at 6 p.m.

Where: At your house

Cost: Free to enter, families buy their own ingredients. Attendance is free, but there is a suggested $5 donation to Teach For America DFW if families are able. Donate here and select the DFW region.
