For more than a decade, Jeremy Turner has shown shoppers the ironic beauty of the iconic ugly Christmas sweater. The vintage clothing guru created a cross-country following for his Ugly Sweater Christmas Shops. Punchbowl Social in Deep Ellum is celebrating Turner’s vision as they bring back The Ugly Christmas Sweater Shop for the first time since 2019. The pop-up begins December 1 and will run until December 24. Fans of the festive knits are also invited to show off their holiday best at a holiday mixer on Wednesday, December 6, from 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm. The event promises an unforgettable evening of laughter, merriment, and a dash of competitive holiday fashion.
Attendees of the mixer will enjoy a variety of free games and activities*, including bowling and karaoke, setting the stage for a night filled with fun and camaraderie. As part of the festivities, Punch Bowl Social will be featuring holiday drink specials throughout the month, making it the perfect opportunity to indulge in some seasonal cheer.
In the spirit of giving, Punch Bowl Social will also be collecting gifts for Toys for Tots, inviting guests to contribute to spreading joy to children in need during the holiday season.

Punch Bowl Social is spreading the holiday spirit even further with special Holiday Punch offerings at $20, $40, and $80. Indulge in the Triple Dog Dare, a delightful concoction of Cranberry, Orange Juice, Bourbon, Lillet Rose, Cinnamon Syrup, and Lemon Juice, garnished with Cinnamon, a Snowflake Pick, and Mint.
Other holiday-inspired cocktails include:
- Not Ovaltine: Mom’s Hot Chocolate with Branca Menta, candy cane, and mini canes over the cube, priced at $14.
- Yule Shoot Your Eye Out: Evan Williams Bourbon, ginger, fall spice tea, and citrus oils, available for $12.
- Fra – GEE – Lay: Hibiscus Berry Oleo, Ginger Beer, and Lemon juice, garnished with Mint and a holiday cocktail umbrella, priced at $12.
The highlight of the Ugly Sweater Mixer is the highly anticipated Costume Contest, where participants can showcase their most creative and outrageous holiday sweaters. Prizes will be awarded to the Top 3 contestants, adding an extra layer of excitement to the festivities.
