Last month, Trinity Christian Academy (TCA) senior Will Zalatoris signed his national letter of intent with Wake Forest University and will be joining the university’s golf team, which finished third at this year’s U.S. Collegiate Championship, for the 2014 season.

Zalatoris has been honored as a recipient of the prestigious Arnold Palmer Scholarship, which was created in 1994 to honor the late golf great's alma mater, Wake Forest, and is reserved for outstanding golfers who have also developed a strong academic record.

A two-time Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools (TAPPS) state champion, Zalatoris recently helped TCA’s boys golf team win its fifth state title in the past six years. Zalatoris, who started golfing at age two, chose to pursue golf over other sports because he enjoys the individuality in the game.
