Shop smart and Donate smart!  Goodwill Dallas is making sustainability simple during this Earth Month by encouraging everyone to repurpose, recycle and reuse. Goodwill Dallas stores will receive donations of clothing, household items and electronics to help divert these from landfills.

Goodwill Dallas will receive and recycle any brand of use electronics and computers for free.

Acceptable items include clothing, shoes,  linens, jewelry, home décor. small appliances, kitchenware, bicycles, books, collectibles, computers, sporting equipment and vehicles. All resealable merchandise is sold in the organization’s retail or outlet stores for a second chance. All remaining merchandise is salvaged in partnership with recycling vendors. The average person throws away 81 pounds of clothing per year. Meanwhile, Goodwill diverts more than 26 million pounds from landfills and properly recycles more than 200,000 pounds of computer equipment annually.

Proceeds from goods sold help create jobs and support no-cost career services for individuals with barriers to employment.
