During September, Galleria Dallas will partner with Communities Foundation of Texas (CFT) for a Gallery Wall that celebrates the acclaimed organization’s 15 years of hosting and powering CFT’s North Texas Giving Day, an annual campaign that enabled more than 3,200 regional nonprofit partners to raise a combined total of $62 million in donations in 2022. This year’s North Texas Giving Day is Thursday, Sept. 21, and the display at Galleria Dallas debuts in conjunction with Early Giving opening online at NorthTexasGivingDay.org on Friday, Sept. 1.

Founded in 1953, CFT works to build thriving communities for all by partnering with difference-makers to grow giving and expand impact. CFT helps individuals, families and companies make meaningful charitable contributions and supports their strategic giving. In addition to North Texas Giving Day, CFT also leads initiatives such as CFT for Business, Educate Texas and Emerging Leaders in Philanthropy.

The Gallery Wall, which will be on display from Sept. 1-30 on Level 1 across from Apple, will feature information about the history of North Texas Giving Day and how every individual contribution works to change lives in North Texas. It tells the story of North Texas Giving Day through the voices of donors, nonprofits, and those they serve, highlighting how we can all come together to do something bigger, together. Additionally, it will feature a QR code that will help shoppers share their care for community by searching the website for the causes that matter most to them and giving online.

This year, the organization hopes to connect donors with more than 3,000 participating nonprofits, and community outreach like the partnership with Galleria Dallas is a key part of that strategy.

“As Communities Foundation of Texas prepares for the 15th anniversary of North Texas Giving Day on Sept. 21, we are thrilled to have Galleria Dallas join as one of our partners. The visual installation at Galleria Dallas showcases some of the generous givers and nonprofit partners who have made our history possible,” said Jennifer Taylor, chief marketing officer at Communities Foundation of Texas. “We encourage the community to stop by Galleria Dallas and see some of our community impact on display beginning Sept. 1, which is when early giving kicks off at NorthTexasGivingDay.org."

“North Texas Giving Day is so important in driving philanthropic goals in North Texas, and it is vital to nonprofit organizations both small and large,” said Galleria Dallas Director of Marketing Megan Townsend. “Galleria Dallas has a history as a community gathering place, and we’re proud to share this message alongside Communities Foundation of Texas.”

Economic trends make this year’s North Texas Giving Day more important to area charities than ever before.

"New data released by Giving USA shows that charitable giving is down across the nation for the first time in many years, yet here in North Texas, we have the biggest regional giving event in the nation,” said Matthew Allen, senior director of CFT’s North Texas Giving Day. “We hope that this visual reminder of generosity on display at Galleria Dallas will encourage everyone to give what they can to the causes they care about through NorthTexasGivingDay.org. There’s more than 3,000 participating nonprofits in need of our community’s support, and every gift makes an impact, no matter the size.”
