Forest Park Medical Center Frisco today announced the formation of its Kids Surgical Institute, a unique program dedicated to providing specialized, world-class medical care for pediatric surgeries in a state-of-the-art environment.

“Forest Park Medical Center Frisco remains committed to elevating the status of health care in the community which is why we made a conscious effort to nurture pediatric surgical services into a specialized, comprehensive program,” said CEO Julie Camp. “We have partnered with a team of more than 20 world-renowned surgeons that focus on complex pediatric surgical conditions to work alongside our superior nursing staff trained in Pediatric Advanced Life Support to deliver care of unsurpassed quality to both our patients and their families.”

Specialty areas of focus are representative of needs specific to Frisco and surrounding communities and include pediatric general surgery; pediatric gastroenterology; pediatric ear, nose and throat; pediatric craniofacial and plastics; pediatric orthopedics, including treatment for sports injuries; adolescent gynecology; adolescent bariatric; and pediatric urology.

Additional focuses for the Kids Surgical Institute at Forest Park Medical Center Frisco include a continued partnership with Kids Kuts MD to assist pediatricians, urgent care facilities and patients by providing direct access 24/7 to plastic surgery specialists for lacerations, hand and face injuries and dog bites. In addition, Forest Park will once again serve as title sponsor of the North Texas Turkey Trot benefiting the Miracle League of Frisco.

Forest Park encourages families to stop by the hospital during the fourth annual Trick or Treat at Frisco Square from 1 to 4 PM on Oct. 26 for fun games and prizes, in addition to a special visit from Rowdy, the official mascot of the Dallas Cowboys.
