Forest Park Medical Center, the Dallas-based physician-owned hospital system dedicated to providing unsurpassed surgical care, has announced the appointment of Archie Drake as chief executive officer (CEO) and Dan Cloud as chief nursing officer (CNO) of Forest Park Medical Center Dallas.

With more than 40 years of combined experience, Drake and Cloud bring a deep knowledge of healthcare management expertise to Forest Park Dallas, which celebrated five years in operation this May.

“I am pleased to announce the appointment of Archie and Dan to leadership positions at Forest Park Medical Center Dallas,” said Forest Park Managing Partner Mac Burt. “They are both highly-experienced individuals who will collectively drive the hospital’s continued growth as a destination for surgical care of unmatched quality for patients in the Texas region, and around the world.”

Drake brings more than 27 years of experience in senior healthcare management to his new role as CEO. In this role, Drake is responsible for working with physicians and staff to oversee day-to-day operations and ensure the Forest Park system’s commitment of providing the highest quality patient care is met. Previously, Drake served as chief operating officer at Forest Park Dallas. Prior to this, he served as vice president of operations at Methodist Dallas Medical Center, as well in leadership positions at Parkland Health & Hospital System and St. Paul Medical Center. Drake earned a Master of Business Administration from Amberton University and is an active member of the American College of Healthcare Executives.

Cloud brings more than 13 years of experience as a recognized leader responsible for delivering strong and sustainable clinical and operational programs benefitting organizations through best practices and physician engagement. Previously, Cloud served as director of nursing administration for Forest Park Medical Center Dallas. Prior to this, he served as nurse manager at Baylor University Medical Center. Cloud holds a master’s degree in nursing from Loyola University and is an active member of the American Association of Critical Care Nurses, the American Nurses Association and the American College of Healthcare Executives.
