DALLAS – Sept. 8, 2014 –Klemchuk Kubasta LLP (KK LLP), a leading full-service intellectual property (IP) law firm, will join Entrepreneurs for North Texas (EFNT) to help revitalize the VA North Texas Health Care System Dallas Campus and Veterans’ housing during the 13th Annual Freedom Day on September 11, 2014.
Each year, EFNT honors the lives lost and forever changed during the terrorist attacks of 9/11 by hosting an inspirational and impactful day of community service. This year, EFNT will partner with Rebuilding Together Greater Dallas to serve those who have served all of us – the nation’s veterans. Rebuilding Together is the nation’s largest volunteer home repair organization, with just under 200 affiliates.
“We are honored to have the opportunity to join EFNT and members of the Dallas community to help give back to our veterans on this historic day in our nation’s history,” said Darin Klemchuk, managing partner at KK LLP. “Community service is a large part of our firm’s culture, and Freedom Day provides an excellent way for several incredible organizations to come together and make a difference.”
During Freedom Day, more than 911 volunteers including the KK LLP team will paint, landscape and provide upgrades and repairs to various areas on the Dallas campus, numerous Veteran transitional housing units and Veteran homes in the Dallas community.
“Freedom Day is a wonderful opportunity for teams of good corporate citizens to give back to the community and transform memories of tragedy into triumph,” said Pam Gerber, Executive Director of EFNT. “It’s a significant event that demonstrates our support and commitment to veterans, their families and the entities that serve them, such as the VA Campus.”
Since the founding of Freedom Day in 2002, more than 5,000 volunteers from EFNT and sponsor companies have completed 25,000 hours of service on 9/11. To learn more about EFNT and Freedom Day, visit www.efnt.org or www.EFNTFreedomDay.org.
