Addison is known as the place to gather and celebrate with great music, food and fun – it’s where memories happen. The Town is known for its special events, and at Total Eclipse of the Park the stars will truly align. A total solar eclipse will take place in DFW on Monday, April 8, and you are invited to come watch it happen at a daylong event in Addison Circle Park.
Stargazers of all levels can grab their blankets, lawn chairs and coolers and set up for the big moment. The Town will provide a limited number of solar viewing glasses for safe viewing. While you’re enjoying the views, you can participate in activities including yoga in the park with Ken Tran from Addison Circle Yoga, live music by DFW party band Extended Play, and food trucks serving a wide assortment of bites. Several restaurants around Addison Circle Park will cater to stargazers with sidewalk café stops.
This event is free to attend and is not ticketed, so spots on the lawn will be first come, first served. No reservations are necessary. Guests are welcome to come and go from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Street parking is available near the park, and free garage parking is also available at Millennium, Colonnade, Addison Circle One and Addison Circle Two garages. Accessible parking is available at the DART Transit Center on Arapaho Road.
