Drinksgiving is one of those made-up holidays that should probably be codified. Taking place annually on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving, the holiday is meant to give people a chance to leave their family at home for a while and meet old friends in town for the holiday while enjoying a few adult beverages.
The Cajun Market at Bourbon Street will celebrate Drinksgiving on Wednesday, Nov. 27, with an all-day happy hour that includes drinks starting at $3 and food at $5.
For guests who are feeling more than a bit peckish, the restaurant will offer an early Thanksgiving dinner plate. The special, available only on Nov. 27, comes with turkey, cornbread dressing, green beans, mac ’n’ cheese, cranberry sauce and turkey gravy for only $14.99.
