Refined Hospitality Concepts’ Primo’s MX Kitchen & Lounge and Scout are going to be the places to be on Friday, Oct. 8 and Saturday, Oct. 9 – when the Texas Longhorns take on the Oklahoma Sooners in one of college football’s most famed rivalry games.

Primo’s is hosting a party all day both days at all three Primo’s locations, with Primo’s Uptown taking it a step further and placing satellite bars on its patio facing McKinney Avenue. Specials include $4.99 signature rocks and frozen margaritas – get the frozen with a strawberry or mango swirls to make a crimson or burnt-orange statement. Beers will also be discounted, with $6 drafts and $5 domestics.

Scout will also have parties on both days. On Friday, it will play host to a Red River Showdown Pre-Party with Red Leather Band, who will perform from 8 p.m. to midnight. On Saturday, catch every down as the lounge features a Red River Showdown Watch Party that begins at 11 a.m. Food and drink specials include $2 Street Tacos (with shredded chicken or shredded beef; $2 each taco, minimum of three per order); $3.50 Miller Lite drafts ($14 per pitcher); $4 Dos Equis drafts ($14 per pitcher); and $5 burnt orange and crimson Bacardi Wapatulis, also known as Jungle Juice.

Finally, after all that partying – and nail-biting during the game – head back to any Primo’s location on Sunday morning for the restaurant’s Hangover Brunch. You can enjoy Churro Pancakes ($14), Huevos Rancheros Tostada ($11), Chorizo Skillet Hash ($16) and many other delicious specialties that, win or lose, will make you feel all right.
