Each month, Galleria Dallas partners with a local or national charity to shine a spotlight on their work with a Gallery Wall, located on Level 1 of the center across from Sephora. October’s charity partner is Bonton Farms, a Dallas-based nonprofit that leverages urban agriculture to nourish the physical, mental and financial health within the Bonton neighborhood of 4,600 individuals each year. While the centerpiece of the partnership will be the educational Gallery Wall, titled “Planting Seeds of Change,” the partnership goes much deeper, with a full month of educational and outreach activations throughout the shopping center.

The Bonton Farms exhibit will share the inspirational stories of people impacted by its programs as it tells the stories of the people of Bonton. Additionally, the exhibit will educate shoppers about the seven human essentials that are necessary to survive and thrive – health and wellness, economic stability, safe and affordable housing, transportation, a sense of belonging, education and access to fair credit – essentials that the residents of Bonton have often been denied.

Additionally, a whimsical farm scene invites visitors to put themselves in context at the Farm through an engaging art installation.

Throughout the month, the Bonton Farms team will create interactive opportunities for Galleria Dallas shoppers.

The culinary team at Bonton Farms will host a series of cooking demonstrations, including:

Tuesday, Oct. 11 at 11 a.m.         Bonton Farms Sous Chef Marquis will teach a recipe from the Café

Tuesday, Oct. 18 at 11 a.m.         Pesto demo, where guests can learn how to take a plant from the garden to make a delicious pasta sauce

Demonstrations will occur on Level 1 in front of the Bonton Farms display.
