Cantina Laredo has a tradition of celebrating Dia de los Muertos with special cocktails and commemorative giveaway glasses. This year’s collection is available Oct. 4 through Nov. 2 and includes the Sweet Heat Sipper and Sandia Revier ‘Rita. The creative cocktails are served in Cantarito clay cups for guests to take home, while supplies last.
Four different Cantarito designs are available; Ramon the Rooster, Calavera on Unicycle, Calavera with Machete and Skull and Crossbones. The cocktails become an experience through augmented reality images that spring to life when guests visit espolon.glass and scan the Cantarito graphic on their smartphone.
The cocktails feature Espolòn Tequila and other fresh ingredients including:
- Sweet Heat Sipper: Espolòn Reposado Tequila, Ancho Reyes Ancho Chile Liqueur, Guava Puree Reàl, and fresh lime juice
- Sandia Revier ‘Rita: Espolòn Blanco Tequila, fresh lime juice, Monin Pomegranate, Red Bull Red Edition, jalapeño slice
The cocktails sell for $13 a piece. For beer lovers, the restaurant will also feature VooDoo Ranger Juicy Haze IPA for $6.50.
