EarthX Film will present “A Party for the Planet,” an intimate evening of film, discussion and music, at Downtown Cowtown at the Isis Theater in Fort Worth on Sept. 8. The event aligns with EarthX Film’s aim to create engaging experiences that make room for storytelling that inspires audiences to get outside, push boundaries and protect the environment.
The evening opens with a short, acoustic performance by Fort Worth native Abraham Alexander. It will be the soul, rock and blues singer’s first appearance in his hometown since the release of his highly anticipated debut album, Sea/Sons, this spring. Alexander will perform a full set with his band later in the evening.
Films for the night include Batsies, 4DWN and The Blackcountry Journal.
Following the screenings, enjoy a conversation with filmmakers and subjects from the films discussing the nuance and importance of climate storytelling.
Tickets are $40-$70 and are available at https://downtowncowtown.com.
