Jeremiah Kim

On Saturday, Feb. 15, Trinity Christian Academy (TCA) junior Jeremiah Kim was named state champion in the 100m breaststroke at the Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools (TAPPS) State Swim Meet in San Antonio. Kim also finished second in the 200m individual medley and set new school records in both events. Kim's strong performance titled him as one of TAPPS’ Top Three Male Swimmers at the state meet. He was also recognized as Top Male Swimmer of the North Region Meet and a First Team All-State competitor.

TCA’s varsity swim team ended the TAPPS state meet with a strong fourth-place finish overall. In addition to Kim's individual achievements, two more school records were broken at the meet by members of TCA’s team. Sophomore Brett Fair set a school record in the 50m freestyle and also swam with Tate Arhelger, Gordon Montgomery and Kim, contributing to their record-breaking, second-place finish in the 200m freestyle relay. Arhelger, the team’s senior captain, also individually earned a third-place finish in the 100m breaststroke.
