DALLAS – Sept. 24, 2015 Trinity Christian Academy (TCA) raised more than $433,000 during the seventh annual North Texas Giving Day, an online giving event held once a year to raise money for local charities and non-profit organizations.

Every $25 donation the school received also garnered “bonus funds” for the organization, and the first $67,500 TCA received was matched dollar-for-dollar by alumni and friends. TCA received 1,010 gifts, more than any other school on North Texas Giving Day, and was awarded $3,000 for this achievement. Of the more than 2,022 organizations that participated in North Texas Giving Day, TCA was ranked sixth in terms of number of gifts. The funds raised will be used for campus upgrades and to support athletics through the TCA Athletic Booster Club.

"I am tremendously proud to be part of a school community that is willing to partner with us to achieve our goals," said TCA Headmaster Dave Delph. “The 1,010 donations we received, exceeding last year’s total amount raised by almost $100,000, shows the value TCA holds within our community.”

With the contributions from TCA's donors, in addition to thousands of other donors that day, North Texas Giving Day exceeded its national record by raising more than $33 million. Donations poured in from people in more than 28 countries and all 50 states, which will benefit 2,022 area nonprofits.
