Trinity Christian Academy (TCA) student and Plano resident, Andrew LaGassa, was recently named a 2015-2016 Congressional Youth Advisory Council (CYAC) participant. Along with 87 other high school students in the Collin County area, LaGassa was selected to serve on the council for his outstanding leadership skills, academic performance, extra-curricular activity participation and community service.

The Congressional Youth Advisory Council was formed in 2004 to assist students in learning about the government first-hand through civic participation and designed for students interested in all types of careers who are looking for a way to give back to their community while enhancing their college applications. The selected students are given the opportunity to meet with United States Congressman Sam Johnson and other civic leaders throughout the school year.
