Teacher transforms classroom to make studying astronomy an interactive experience
Recently, Steve Megison, sixth grade science teacher at Trinity Christian Academy (TCA), built giant rocket ships in his classroom to help his students learn astronomy. The rocket ships were built around tables, so that the students could lie down under the tables and view an iPad that showed videos simulating the cockpit of a space shuttle. The students could then "take off" together to explore the universe.
