DALLAS October 22, 2014 Last month, Trinity Christian Academy (TCA) raised approximately $354,500 during the sixth annual North Texas Giving Day, an online giving event held once a year to raise money for local charities and non-profit organizations.

Every $25 donation the school received also garnered “bonus funds” for the organization, and the first $96,000 TCA received was matched dollar-for-dollar by alumni and friends. TCA had the most gifts given at 905, more than any other school on North Texas Giving Day, and was awarded $5,000 for this achievement. The funds raised will be used to improve campus-wide security and to support athletics through the TCA Athletic Booster Club.

"I am tremendously proud to be part of a school community that is willing to partner with us to achieve our goals, and 905 donors in just 18 hours proves just how remarkable our community is." said TCA Headmaster Dave Delph.

With the contributions from TCA's donors, in addition to thousands of other donors that day, North Texas Giving Day exceeded its national record by raising more than $26.3 million. Donations poured in from people in more than 28 countries and all 50 states, which will benefit 1,580 area nonprofits.
