Recently, kindergarteners at Trinity Christian Academy (TCA) celebrated Texas Round-Up Day by dressing up as cowboys and cowgirls to commemorate the history of the Lone Star State. Students arrived at school wearing boots, bandanas and cowboy hats and ready for a day of Texas-sized fun.

They participated in a variety of outdoor activities, including haystack games and stick pony barrel races and perfected their roping skills using lassos and hula hoops while listening to live guitar music. An outdoor petting zoo also provided an opportunity for students to pet and play with rabbits, sheep, ponies and calves while learning about the importance of livestock in the old west and the significant role agriculture still plays in their home state.
