Trinity Christian Academy (TCA) senior and Richardson resident Allison Lau was recently announced as a 2018 National Merit Finalist. The National Merit Scholarship Program recognizes academically gifted high school students who scored highest in the Preliminary SAT and National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT).

Of the approximate 15,000 finalists, National Merit Scholarship Corporation notifies about 7,500 finalists that they have been selected to receive a Merit Scholarship award. All Merit Scholar designees are chosen based on their academic records and abilities, regardless of their gender, race, ethnicity or religious views.

The 2018 National Merit Scholarship winners will be announced beginning March until July.
