NAI Robert Lynn Promotes Chad Albert to Principal
Youngest broker in the country to achieve SIOR designation earns principal title at 29 years old


DALLAS – August 22, 2016
NAI Robert Lynn, a company specializing exclusively in selling and leasing commercial real estate in the Dallas area, is pleased to announce the promotion of Chad Albert, SIOR, to principal. Last year, Albert became the youngest broker in the country to attain the SIOR designation. With his recent promotion, he is now the youngest principal at NAI Robert Lynn.

“Since joining the NAI Robert Lynn team, Chad has shown exceptional work ethic and unparalleled knowledge to quickly become one of the top industrial brokers in the metroplex,” said NAI Robert Lynn President, Mark Miller. “He is a great example, an essential part of our team and we look forward to him taking a leadership position.”

Albert’s success has been shaped by his passion for client service and the relationships he has built in the business. In addition to growing those relationships, Albert will develop and lead an internal mentoring program for younger brokers, helping them through goal setting and accountability.

In August 2008, Albert joined NAI Robert Lynn straight out of college as an industrial broker. After just two years as an associate and two years as a market director, he was promoted to vice president in 2012 and executive vice president in 2013. Over Albert's eight-year tenure, he and his partner, Mark Miller, have been NAI Robert Lynn's top-producing team, serving more than 450 clients in North Dallas, Farmers Branch and Carrollton. A few of Albert’s most notable transactions include the sale of one of DFW’s largest auto dealerships, as well as a 500,000-square-foot office/warehouse. He has also represented several investors on multi-building warehouse sale acquisitions in DFW.

Albert earned his Bachelor of Science in kinesiology, sports marketing and management with a minor in business management at Indiana University. He has achieved several honors in the field, including the Dallas Business Journal Heavy Hitter/Top Broker Award, the D CEO Top Broker Award, and the Costar Power Broker Award. He has also been an active member of the Big Brothers Big Sisters program since 2012 and was previously named the Texas region’s Big Brother of the Year. Albert currently resides in far North Dallas.

NAI Robert Lynn Aids Autos of Dallas in Purchase of Old GMC Facility in Plano

New facility will enable auto dealer to expand inventory by 1,000+ vehicles by 2017 


DALLAS – July 19, 2016 –
The NAI Robert Lynn Industrial Division recently represented Autos of Dallas in the purchase of the 55,000-square-foot Ex-Ewing Buick GMC Dealership in Plano, which will allow the auto dealer to nearly double its inventory to 1,000 vehicles. The new dealership will make Autos of Dallas the largest independent auto dealer in Dallas, and one of the largest independent auto dealers in the country. NAI Robert Lynn Principal Chad Albert represented Autos of Dallas.

Autos of Dallas will move from its current location in Addison, previously known as the “Addison Square Garden Ice Rink” (15100 Midway Road), to their new headquarters at 4472 Plano Parkway in Plano. The new location is situated on approximately 8 acres of land in a highly visible area on Plano Parkway just east of Ohio.

“Many of our customers are in the North Dallas area, so this move helped us get closer to our customer base, create the space needed for an on-site service shop and carry more inventory to further our sales. We’re thankful for Chad and NAI Robert Lynn’s partnership from the very beginning and helping us find the right spaces along the way as we’ve grown,” said Sami Aqqad, owner of Autos of Dallas.

Prior to its Addison location, Albert represented Autos of Dallas in their three previous transactions, one of which being their original location in Farmers Branch. At the time of their inception, Autos of Dallas had a 30-car inventory. Eight years later, the company will have 1,000 cars on their lot, in large part due to the steady growth model of Aqqad.

“I’ve been very fortunate to represent Sami and Autos of Dallas on their real estate as they’ve grown from a small start-up auto dealer in 2008 to now, arguably the largest dealer in the city. Sami has always exemplified a ‘customer-first’ mentality as well as an uncanny ability to take well-calculated risks throughout his organic growth, which have paid great dividends, and have been the main contributors to Autos of Dallas’ success over the years,” said Albert.

NAI Robert Lynn has represented Autos of Dallas since 2008, assisting the company in locating the right properties for its growing needs while overcoming the lack of supply of dealership availability. At the time of purchase, the dealership was not available on the market. Albert was able to find a prime location and reached an agreement within weeks.

Autos of Dallas will move its dealership to the new location by September 2016.

NAI Robert Lynn recently represented the Sherwin-Williams Company in its plans to construct a new state-of-the-art, 600,000-square-foot distribution facility on a 46-acre site at the Waco International Aviation Park in Waco, Texas. The expansion will increase Sherwin-Williams’ presence in North Texas, enabling the company to retain 264 permanent, full-time positions with room for additional growth.

Sherwin-Williams is one of the world’s leading companies engaged in the manufacture, distribution and sale of coatings and related products to professional, industrial, commercial and retail customers. The company, which currently occupies a 440,000 square-foot facility in Waco is planning to invest $39 million including a 49-acre land acquisition.

 

The company chose to remain in Waco because of an attractive incentive plan offered by the City of Waco. Another key element in its decision to stay is the company enjoys being deeply entrenched in the Waco community. When Sherwin-Williams began plans for its expansion it turned to NAI Robert Lynn due to the company’s established history of success with the Dallas-based commercial brokerage firm.

NAI Robert Lynn’s Managing Partner of Industrial Leasing, John Leinbaugh, recently closed a 529,155-square-foot deal with a national logistics company. This deal brings Leinbaugh’s total for warehouse space leased to 1,201,755 square feet since joining the NAI Robert Lynn team in February of this year. 

“With job growth and associated consumer demand driving the market, industrial leasing in North Texas is extremely active, and this increased activity has brought great success to our NAI Robert Lynn team in a short period of time,” said Leinbaugh. “Competition is strong in such a vibrant market, but my team’s long-time experience and extensive knowledge of our markets have proven to be an invaluable asset for our clients. We certainly have been blessed with great success in leasing the industrial properties that we have listed.”

DALLAS—July 1, 2015 - The NAI Robert Lynn Industrial Division recently represented Diesel Displays in a 81,634-square-foot expansion, consolidating all of the company’s operations under one roof. Located at 2941 Commodore in Carrollton, the building is a new development completed in the first quarter of 2015. NAI Robert Lynn Executive Vice President Chad Albert represented Diesel Displays, and Nathan Orbin and Terry Darrow of JLL represented DCT Industrial Inc. Diesel Displays is an award-winning display manufacturer with in-house printing, metal fabrication and fulfillment for the retail and corporate graphics industry.

"Moving Diesel’s operations under one roof will help streamline production and allow our customers to see all of our capabilities at the same time," said Diesel Displays owner, Brent Ashton. “Diesel was founded nearly 10 years ago with less than 10,000 square feet, and with the help of NAI Robert Lynn, we are proud to have grown to more than 80,000 square feet.”

Diesel has grown steadily over the past decade. However, previous operations out of three locations in Addison, Carrollton and Dallas made logistics a daily strain. With two years remaining on its existing 45,000-square-foot lease, Diesel decided to expand, agreeing on a deal with the landlord to vacate early due to the need to centralize operations under one roof. The new building is freestanding, and has a “sleek” image, which compliments the cutting-edge business. Diesel will move into its new facility in August 2015.

DALLAS – March 6, 2015 – The NAI Robert Lynn Office Division recently represented Altair Global in a 13,960-square-foot expansion deal for its corporate headquarters. Altair Global is an independent, full-service global assignment and relocation management company offering a comprehensive selection of global mobility solutions. Dan Jardine III, Executive Vice President of the NAI Robert Lynn Office Division and who specializes in the white hot Legacy market, and Tom Lynn, Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR) and President of the NAI Robert Lynn Office Division, represented Altair Global in the transaction.       

“There were a lot of moving parts to this transaction including a rapidly changing Legacy market,” said Jardine. “We looked at several opportunities including new properties, existing buildings and even subleases that fit our client’s needs. In the end, the right space ended up being at the recently completed building next door to Altair Global’s HQ. It was the perfect solution for our client’s current growth.”

Located at 7800 N. Dallas Parkway in West Plano, the Class A office building allows Altair Global to expand its headquarters’ presence in the area. The office building is in close proximity to the company’s original headquarters building located at 7500 N. Dallas Parkway.  The new office provides easy access to the Dallas North Tollway and also is a short drive to The Shops at Legacy.
