Mercer Boardwalk will be hiring 135 restaurant staffers for its first three restaurant locations: Barrel & Bones, Black Agave Cocina y Cantina and Dough Bro’s To Go. The restaurants are slated to open this fall.
The restaurants will begin taking applications on-property, 1980 LBJ Freeway in Farmers Branch, daily beginning Monday, Sept. 25 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. There will also be a casting call on Thursday, Sept. 28 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Training for accepted applicants will begin the week of Oct. 9.
Located at one of the region’s most visible locations, the southeast intersection of Luna Road and the I-635 frontage road in Farmers Branch, Mercer Boardwalk will feature eight or more dining destinations and extensive retail when development is complete.
To get there, take the southern LBJ frontage road off Luna Road (near the Quik Trip) eastbound till you arrive at Mercer Boardwalk.
The three restaurants seeking applicants will offer a variety of fare for Farmers Branch diners:

- Black Agave Cocina y Cantina will bring a taste of Mexican tradition and celebration to Mercer Boardwalk. The restaurant’s upscale interpretations of both Tex-Mex and traditional Mexican cuisine are complemented by the extensive cocktail list, including an impressive tequila and mezcal program.
- Dough Bro’s To Go offers a full menu of pizza, pasta and other Italian favorites for takeout or third-party delivery.
