As one of the country’s longest running and most beloved Oktoberfest celebrations, Addison Oktoberfest, presented by Paulaner, features four days of entertainment for all ages with a Texas twist.

On Sept. 20, join us for Sunday Hund-Day! Dogs are invited to experience the Addison Oktoberfest fun for one special day. Festival gates open at noon, but the main event is the Dachshund Dash, which kicks off at 1 p.m. in the Partyhalle. The race is brought to you by Pappy’s Pet Lodge and sees nearly 100 dachshunds race through the finish line. The ultimate winner will be awarded “The Golden Dachshund.” Racers must be registered in advance to participate. Registration opens Aug. 15 and will remain open until Sept. 13 or until 100 dogs are signed up.

At 3 p.m., check out the Pet Parade, brought to you by Texas Credit Union. Hunds will strut their stuff in their Oktoberfest best from the Java & Hopps Pavilion to the Bierspiele Stadium. Owners can register their dogs starting at 1 p.m. on the day of the parade. Prizes will be awarded to the best-dressed pups!

Kids under 13 years old also get free admission on Sunday. Tickets are $10 per person 13 years and older.
